Two Journalists Convert to Islam

Steve Centanni stated:

"We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint. Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."

Two Fox news journalists, Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig, were released from their captors after converting to Islam. In my opinion, the ease in which they converted to Islam has emboldened the Islamofacists. Whether their conversions were genuine or not is irrelevant. For several hundreds of years, the Moslems conquered many nations and have forced the conquered to either convert to Islam or die. Steve and Olaf's situation was no different. In the eyes of the Islamofacists, they have successfully converted two formal infidels. In addition, I believe that this situation will cause a renewal of passion among the Islamofacists to kidnap and force the conversion to Islam of other westerners. Unfortunately, in todays society, most individuals who claim to be Christians are pretty much apathetic with their beliefs and would convert to Islam at the drop of a hat if it meant the end of their lives.

Another thing I need to point out is that no one was forced to convert to Islam. Those two individuals, just like all human beings, have free will and could have chosen not to convert to Islam. Instead, they have chosen to "sell their souls to the devil" in exchange for their lives. Yes, I realize that they could have died if they had refused to convert but as I have stated previously, the ease to which they converted (at the barrel of the gun with very little, if any, torture involved) to Islam will encourage the Islamofacists to repeat this style of terrorism against other westerners.

On a side note, I would like to show the similarity between this situation and the coming situation as predicted in Bible prophecy. Consider the following verses from the book of Revelation:

15He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

Dr. Thomas Ice of the Pre-Trib Research Center best describes the above verses from Revelation:

The Bible teaches that it will be the false prophet, who is related to false religion, who will head up the campaign of the mark of the beast (Rev. 13:11-18). Revelation 13:15 makes it clear that the key issue in all of this is "worship of the image of the beast." The mark of the beast is simply a vehicle to force people to declare their allegiance- to the Antichrist or Jesus Christ. All people will be polarized into two camps. It will be impossible to take a position of neutrality or indecision on this matter. Scripture is very clear that those who do not receive the mark will be killed.

All classes of humanity will be forced to take sides: " the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves" (Rev. 13:15). Dr. Robert Thomas notes that this language " extends to all people of every civic rank, . . . all classes ranked according to wealth, . . . covers every cultural category, . . . The false prophet will require a " mark" of loyalty and devotion to the beast and it will be " on their right hand," not the left, "or on their forehead" (Rev. 13:16). As a final note and as a warning, here is what will happen to the individuals who take the "mark" of the beast:

There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
