Terrorism: Alive and Well Prior to September 11

First, I must start this blog entry with an astonishingly thorough and accurate quote from President Karzai of Afghanistan. I have never heard anyone so boldy and plainly explain the existence of terrorism long before 9-11 and that terrorism is not just directed at the United States and Israel. Yes, it is so true that a good part of terrorism is directed towards these two nations. However, terrorism also affects those not agreeing with the terrorists' agenda:

PRESIDENT KARZAI: Ma'am, before I go to remarks by my brother, President Musharraf, terrorism was hurting us way before Iraq or September 11th. The President mentioned some examples of it. These extremist forces were killing people in Afghanistan and around for years, closing schools, burning mosques, killing children, uprooting vineyards, with vine trees, grapes hanging on them, forcing populations to poverty and misery.

They came to America on September 11th, but they were attacking you before September 11th in other parts of the world. We are a witness in Afghanistan to what they are and how they can hurt. You are a witness in New York. Do you forget people jumping off the 80th floor or 70th floor when the planes hit them? Can you imagine what it will be for a man or a woman to jump off that high? Who did that? And where are they now? And how do we fight them, how do we get rid of them, other than going after them? Should we wait for them to come and kill us again? That's why we need more action around the world, in Afghanistan and elsewhere, to get them defeated -- extremism, their allies, terrorists and the like.

On the remarks of my brother, President Musharraf, Afghanistan is a country that is emerging out of so many years of war and destruction, and occupation by terrorism and misery that they've brought to us. We lost almost two generations to the lack of education. And those who were educated before that are now older. We know our problems. We have difficulties. But Afghanistan also knows where the problem is -- in extremism, in madrassas preaching hatred, preachers in the name of madrassas preaching hatred. That's what we should do together to stop.

The United States, as our ally, is helping both countries. And I think it is very important that we have more dedication and more intense work with sincerity, all of us, to get rid of the problems that we have around the world.

Drilling for Oil in Israel

Could there be a surprising resource of unexplored oil in Israel? I believe the possibility is very real. A new company out of Dallas Texas called the Zion Oil and Gas, Inc. is convinced of the existence of untapped oil reserves in Israel and intends to drill/explore for oil in that country:
September 27, 2006 – Dallas, Texas and Caesarea, Israel – Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (www.zionoil.com) announced today that its initial public offering has opened. Zion intends to use the funds raised to continue its efforts to explore for oil and gas in Israel. Zion holds petroleum exploration rights onshore Israel on about 219,000 acres located between Tel Aviv and Haifa...Zion Oil & Gas Initial IPO

Now, take a look at this eye opening article from Bible prophecy teacher, Hal Lindsey. Here, he provides Biblical evidence that the nation of Israel will enjoy greater prosperity than ever before during the last days. Of course, the Old Testament refers the land of Israel as a ' land flowing with milk and honey':

God also promises that in the last days Israel would enjoy a greater prosperity than ever before: “and I will settle you after your old estates, and I will do better unto you than at your beginnings…” (Ezekiel 36:11) Does the Bible give us any clues as to the economic source of Israel’s safety and prosperity? We believe it does...Also among the blessings to Israel and his children God promised that he would “suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock.” (Deuteronomy 32:13) God promised that Zebulon and Issachar would, “shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.” (Deuteronomy 33:19) and Asher would, >i> “dip his foot in oil.” (Deuteronomy 33:24)...Could these passages possibly refer to an oil reserve hidden deep beneath the land of Israel? A New North-American Bureaucracy?

A few months ago, writer and WorldNetDaily.com contributor accomplished a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for documentation on the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP). The SPP is the working group launched by the Bush Administration to form a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canda. Here is the quote from the SPP website regarding their purpose:
The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) was launched in March of 2005 as a trilateral effort to increase security and enhance prosperity among the United States, Canada and Mexico through greater cooperation and information sharing. spp.gov

This working group was apparently formed without authorization/oversight from Congress. Back in June, 2006, Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado demanded that the Bush Administration disclose the activities of the SPP based on the information that the blueprint of the SPP agreement indicated a formation of a single government from the merger of United States, Canada, and Mexico:

Jerome Corsi received his FOIA request a few days ago:
Government documents released by a Freedom of Information Act request reveal the Bush administration is running a "shadow government" with Mexico and Canada...The released documents affirm that counterparts from official governmental agencies in Mexico and Canada are combined with the U.S. administrative branch to form new trilateral "working groups" that actively rewrite U.S. administrative law to "harmonize" or "integrate" with administrative law in Mexico and Canada.WorldNetDaily: Documents disclose 'shadow government'
