On September 3, 2006, Pastor John Hagee spoke at Jerry Falwell's Thomas Road Baptist Church during the evening service.

As stated by Rev. Jerry Falwell, after Pastor Hagee preached this sermon at Thomas Road Baptist Church, their website http://home.trbc.org/ was hacked the very next day by a radical Islamic group (Rev Falwell stated that in a manner of speaking, Pastor Hagee 'started a war' at Thomas Road Baptist Church (consisting of cyber attacks by a radical Islamic group)). Apparently, it took about an hour and a half to restore service.

• Rev Falwell began the service with the following scriptures:

Matthew 5:13-14 (New King James Version)

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

• The salt is the preservation and confrontation of the culture.


• One of the important messages is the innerancy of scripture.


• The deity of Jesus Christ - sacrificial death for all men (everyone); the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ; and the soon glorious second coming of Jesus Christ.


• The mission is Christ's great commission


• As stated by Rev. Falwell, Pastor Hagee is God's anointed man


• Rewriting the strategy is the pastor's primary calling


• In accordance with Abraham's covenant, God will bless us if we bless Israel.


• The Evangelical church (excluding liberal churches) is the light of the world and the salt of the earth


• Both Mordecai and Esther were salt and light soldiers


• Mordecai was the outside influence


• Esther was the inside influence


• Mordecai heard of the king's plan to kill all Jews as indicated in the Book of Esther.

11 "All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that any man or woman who goes into the inner court to the king, who has not been called, he has but one law: put all to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself have not been called to go in to the king these thirty days." 12 So they told Mordecai Esther's words.
13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: "Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16 "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!"

• In Europe, anti-semitism is at an all time high since the 1930s.


• We must realize that if God be for us, who can be against us


• The Children of Israel were light and salt soldiers

• America and the Judeo Christian culture are in grave peril.; Rev Falwell's friend, Bill Bennett has reiterated the same thing.


• Since the 1960s, the US population has increased 46%; violent crimes increased 500%; divorces quadrupuled.


• God doesn't want sissies; He is looking for the salt and light people.


• John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church, was a salt and light soldier who was faithful to the gospel.

• Mordecai delivered God's message on the outside


• Esther took her stand by saying "If I perish, I perish"


• What then shall we do???


• We must be a participant, not just a spectator


• Pastors much preach boldly


• The number one problem in America is that America lacks Godly, Informed, and Vocal leadership


• Our pastors must be prophets


• Our lawyers and legislators must be champions of Biblical righteousness


• National revival is the ultimate answer


• The only hope for America is God and His church


• Rev. Falwell's plea to the church is as indicated in 1 Samuel 17:29:

• The battle begins in your life and your family
