Free DVD from the Federal Government: "Identity Theft: Outsmarting the Crooks "

The US Department of Treasury is now offering a free DVD to help combat identity theft. The DVD is called "Identity Theft: Outsmarting the Crooks " and is available for free (you will, however, be charged for a $2.00 service fee) at the Federal Citizen Information Center website.

The following excerpt from the Federal Citizen Information Center is the description of the DVD:

Identity Theft: Outsmarting the Crooks (DVD). This interactive DVD will help you protect yourself from identity theft and know what to do if you are victimized. Also contains a comprehensive resource library of downloadable materials for consumers of all ages.

With the current incident of compromised personal data, (such as the Veterans Affairs data theft) , whether you are a veteran or not, it is a very good idea to be vigilant and prevent yourself from becoming a victim of identity theft. In addition to obtaining this DVD, arm yourself with the information provided from the previous post called, "How to Prevent Online Identity Theft", by Jim Edwards.
