AJ's Blog (Archived Blog): "Who Is the One True God?" - Preached by John Hagee, Cornerstone Church

Are you still trying to figure out who is the one true God? Check out the following notes taken from Pastor John Hagee's Sunday morning service, at Cornerstone Church, on June 11, 2006:

John 17:3 (New King James Version)
3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

One of the first things that Pastor Hagee opened up with was as paraphrased: Regardless of what other televangelists may teach, you are not little gods!

(sidebar: Pastor Hagee, as a respectable person, doesn't name names. Rather than focusing on individuals that may teach spiritual error, he focuses on the erroneous teaching so that the person is able to recognize the false doctrines taught by others. However, myself as a blogger, is able to provide a little more information online on where I think Pastor Hagee is coming from. I believe that the following quote from an apologetics website is an example of what he may be referring to:

At the heart of the Word of Faith movement is the belief in the "force of faith." It is believed words can be used to manipulate the faith-force, and thus actually create what they believe Scripture promises (health and wealth). Laws supposedly governing the faith-force are said to operate independently of God's sovereign will and that God Himself is subject to these laws. From here, its theology just strays further and further from Scripture: It claims that God created human beings in His literal, physical image as little gods. Before the fall, humans had the potential to call things into existence by using the faith-force. After the fall humans took on Satan's nature and lost the ability to call things into existence. In order to correct this situation, Jesus Christ gave up His divinity and became a man, died spiritually, took Satan's nature upon Himself, went to hell, was born-again, and rose from the dead with God's nature. After this, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to replicate the Incarnation in believers so they could become little gods as God had originally intended. [Gotquetions.org]

The purpose of this blog is to provide you with my personal sermon notes taken from Pastor Hagee's Sunday morning service and to include some of my perspectives on what he said).

John 17:3 states who the one true God. In addition, Pastor Hagee talked about how there are churches trying to maintain their political correctness by stating that Islam and Christianity are sister faiths. Pastor Hagee stated that if you attend one of these churches, then you need to find another church.

Pastor Hagee emphasized the Radical Islamists belief and followership in the Koran, Surya 9.5-6 which encourages their violence against the Christians and Jews.

1 John 4:7 Contradicts the Koran as shown in the above statement:

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not
that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Pastor Hagee once again emphasized and warned that Iran is already producing WMDs and that in his opinion the reason that Iran is participating in the negotiation/talks at the present moment is because they are trying to use this as a delay tactic while they prepare the WMDs for use in the near future.
- Also stated as paraphrased: Either we will defeat them (Iran) or they will defeat us. Victory on our part is a must, not an option.
- Pastor Hagee Also referenced the following incident:

Police: Suspects planned Canada attacks

TORONTO, ON, Canada (UPI) -- Canadian police say they have arrested 17 people in an alleged plot to commit a series of terror attacks.

Another key point demonstrating the difference between the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and Allah:
- God is limited in the following fashion:
  - God cannot lie
  - God cannot act in a way contradictory to his nature
  - God is a God of covenant and cannot break covenant
  - God is love, full of grace, faithful, and almighty.
- According to the Koran, Allah is unlimited.
- The above are two key differences which show that Islam and Christianity cannot be sister faiths.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the only way to the Father.

If the Germans were able to recognize the one true God, WWII could have been prevented.

Atheists spend their life fighting for something they believe don't exist.
- Atheism never cured diseases
- Atheism has never been able to provide an intellectual answer to the creation of life.
- Atheism has never comforted or wiped away every tears that one has cried.
Jesus has stated that those who seen me has seen the Father.

God has messages in the stone.

Examples of above are the archaeology discoveries being found that validate that the Bible is absolutely true. Fossils of sea life are being found in mountain tops. The only way these sea animals could have gotten up their is during the worldwide flood during the times of Noah. Also, the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls confirms the accuracy of the bible.

Faith can become idolatry. For example, faith in prosperity and faith in healing, rather than faith in God are examples of idolatry. The act of faith is nothing; the object of the faith is everything. The object of your faith must be God.

If the object of your faith is God, then you will be able to command mountains to move into the oceans.

Love without discipline is theology of satan. For example, those who believe that we should be loving by tolerating homosexuality is practicing the theology of satan.
